Kirstin Ault, who served in the United States Department of Justice for 15 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, has joined the California Appellate Law Group*. She will concentrate on high-end criminal appeals, appeals in related civil litigation, and consulting on pre-trial, trial, and post-trial criminal litigation and sentencing. She is the firm’s 17th appellate attorney.

Kirstin handled nearly two dozen major appeals for the federal government during her tenure, covering all aspects of criminal procedure. She has developed extensive expertise with economic crimes, securities fraud, and health care fraud.

In 2014, the Daily Journal named Kirstin one of the Top 100 lawyers in California.
