Four CALG lawyers appeared on discussion panels during the CLA’s two-day summit this April, more than any other private law firm.

M.C. Sungaila moderated a panel of five female presiding justices and judges of the California Court of Appeal and Superior Courts, as part of a live recording for her award-winning podcast, Portia Project:

Kelly Woodruff (who is president emeritus of the CLA’s Committee on Appellate Courts) and Claudia Ribet spoke on a panel titled “Navigating the Complex Statement of Decision Process and Effective Use of Post-Trial Motions to Enhance Your Client’s Appellate Rights”:

And Melanie Gold moderated a panel of Court of Appeal justices and Superior Court judges discussing “recent, current and future efforts by the courts and lawyers to increase meaningful access to the judicial process”:

CALG’s participation in this year’s summit is in line with the significant roles across California that many of the firm’s lawyers play on state and federal committees and boards related to the appellate process.
