Reno specializes in bankruptcy appeals and is certified as a bankruptcy law specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

He has won bankruptcy appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, and the Northern District of California, and has also won appeals in bankruptcy-ancillary matters in the California appellate courts.
